What Can Facebook Marketing Do For Your Business?

Facebook marketing has a different appeal to varied audiences because everyone uses Facebook for different reasons. Whether maintaining relationships with old friends and family or playing games, people will notice the different pages offered on Facebook. Take advantage of this from a marketing sense and let Facebook benefit your business in a unique way.

Marketing through the use of Facebook tabs is an easy and efficient way to get the word out. Why not create a "Promotions" tab and highlight items you have on sale, coupons you've made available or even contests you're running. It's a great way to allow your followers to easily keep up with what's going on.

Use Facebook Insights to improve your social media marketing campaign. Check Facebook Insights to find out which updates are the most popular. If possible, share more similar updates. If you notice your subscribers are losing interest in your Facebook campaign, make an effort to create more interesting content for your campaign.

Although Facebook marketing is an extremely powerful tool, you shouldn't automatically assume that it's the best social media option for you. As popular as Facebook is, not all cultures and age groups use it. Do more research on your target audience to get a better idea of which social networks they use the most before launching your campaign.

You should choose a strong argument to convince customers to subscribe to your social media updates. People need to see a value in joining your Facebook marketing campaign. You could for instance offer a small immediate discount to the customers who subscribe to your Facebook campaign before completing an order.

Never, ever buy Facebook fans. There are a lot of opportunities to do so out there, but do not be tempted by them. While you will see a spike in the number of likes your page receives, it will have no bearing on making your brand more popular or increasing your sales. Instead, take things slow and steady and gain real, loyal followers. Quality is more important here.

Use photos in every Facebook update that you do. People love looking at photos on Facebook. The more visual a post is, the better chance it has of actually becoming a bit viral. So don't let any opportunity to get visual pass you by, even if your trying to get a post out quickly. Take the time to make it visually great.

Use Facebook as a customer service tool. Invite customers to send you questions, comments or complaints by commenting on your Facebook page. This is a great way to display your excellent customer service policies. Answer questions in details and offer refunds or new products right away to the customers who complain.

Never rely on anyone else's advice as to when the best time for updating your page is. While a non-profit may find people are more charitable on the weekend, that doesn't mean your customers aren't actually checking out your page at work. Do your own research to figure out when you should be posting.

Create a posting system for your day. Consistent posting is probably the biggest thing that you can do for your Facebook marketing, but if you don't have a plan, it's easy to forget to do it! Add this posting to your daily to do list, and never go a day without doing it.
