Having a job indeed brings a peace of mind when it comes to handling expenses. If it is, then it?s probably time to look for a new job. However, with you currently employed; how you would you apply for another job without your boss noticing? So is finding a job possible while still employed and without being found out by your boss?

To answer this question, we?ve come up with a few solutions. Try multiple methods as this will further increase your chances of getting hired and without your boss noticing.

Apply for jobs online

You can simply look for those jobs related to your chosen field or to your specific skill set. You can simply look up for those jobs on the job postings over the internet. Refine your search results to those places that are close where you are at or to the area at which you want to establish work. Furthermore, be sure to find out all the necessary info about the job as well as those you can gain such as the rate of salary, health benefits, hours of work, etc. Then again you wouldn't want your employer to find out that you're scouting or looking for other jobs while being employed. So as a screening factor, only apply for those postings that hide or keep your identity private.

Making use of your network of friends at social media websites

One more way of effectively look for a job despite your current job while hiding it from your employer is to aim at posting over LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media websites. Simply set up your profile or messages stating that you?re looking for a job. This method becomes very effective if you have friends or buddies who are employed over companies that are looking for people just like you. Again, you still need to keep this a secret to your boss as you are still employed under their company. Fortunately, tweets, messages as well as postings from social media websites can be set to private or can be viewed only by those who you want to see them. You can also play around your privacy settings where people from the office cannot view your activities or posts.

Recruiters

Another simple yet effective way of hiding your scheme of applying to jobs despite being employed is to send your resume or application directly over to company recruiters. Recruiters are pretty much everywhere and you can see them over the pages of the newspaper or over the internet. Simply look for those that are looking for people with your specific set of skills and expertise. Once you laid eyes on the position that you want, you can immediately set up or schedule an appointment with the recruiter for an interview or for you to submit your resume. Among those many things that recruiters are looking for candidates is that they should have relevant experience. With you still employed over a company, you can also have a better chance of being chosen for the job.

Send your application or resume directly to the HR

Lastly, another way to send your application to other companies while still being employed is to submit your resume personally to companies. The work schedule or hours should always be kept in mind if trying to do this last method. Among the best times of the day when you can do this is during lunch breaks and after work in the afternoon or evening.

Having to keep this venture a secret from your boss can indeed be quite difficult. However with these methods, you'll be sure to do it effectively and conveniently.
