Coffee is a drink that is liked by almost everybody worldwide. It contains caffeine which is a stimulant that keeps people awake whether it is during the day or at night. When you are addicted to the product, refraining from its use affects the optimal functioning of the body. It may lead to a low level of concentration and anxiety.

Addictions affect the life style of an individual. They are caused by over reliance on a drug and even a stimulus. Caffeine is highly addictive and continuous use of the product leads to increase dependence. When you are addicted, it becomes difficult to function without using the drug. One of the most popular drinks that can substitute coffee is tea. The composition of caffeine is much smaller in tea therefore making it a better substitute for coffee. In order to cut back the effects of caffeine, you are advised to consume a beverage that contains less or no caffeine at all. Green tea and detox tea are among the various types of tea that can act as substitutes. These products contain ingredients which have healthy benefits to the body. Detox tea helps in detoxifying the liver and improving the performance of gallbladder. Green tea contains high contents of Epigallocatechin Gallate which is an antioxidant that carries curative properties.

Postum is another substitute manufactured in the early 1895. The product is a mixture of molasses, wheat, and bran. Postum, unlike the rest of the drinks has no caffeine but is rich in carbohydrates. The composition of the product builds your health and provides a relaxing experience.

Coffee is a beverage that has many effects and it is also addictive. This is due to the high concentration of caffeine which has negative side effects to your body. Every time you consume the drink, you increase your chances of suffering from various health conditions. In order to curb these problems, stay away from regular coffee intake. The drink is a stimulant that causes calmness and relaxation, which are vital for the normal body performance. However, tea and postum can be used as substitutes because they have health benefits besides having equal stimulating and soothing effects as coffee.
