Barbara Corcoran's Rags-To-Riches

By Franklin Skribbit

With business doing great again, you have probably heard about many people have really made a career and a great life out of being an entrepreneur. It is a high-risk job and can yield really great earnings or a huge disaster that can be catastrophic to a family and someone's life.

The big question is: how did she go from straight-D student to multi-billionaire? Well, it's not quite clear. We have the skeleton of the story, but there seems to be quite a lot missing.

His business know how is immense, and he has been able to make a difference in his own financial state, and a mark on the financial world at large.

Howard Shultz was born in a Jewish family in 1953. He grew up in poor circumstances as his family didn't have too much money but he was able to get away with sports. He loved sports and not only enjoyed them but he also was good at them as well. Schultz went on to high school and college.

Her story is kind of like those fairy tales where prince meets beautiful girl and boom! They are in love and married. What ever happened to dating, courting, or even talking? Two people work to find each other and once they do, that's it? The struggles are over? Hardly.

His business administration and accounting skills are evident through the success of both of his major businesses, and as he continues to succeed his skills only grow. DeJoria has described his own fear of rejection, but has realized over time that rejection is just a part of the process, and even though it is difficult, he has been able to get past it.

Howard Schultz, now feeling pumped up with his experience that he had gained, decided to join Starbucks as a marketer. He noticed that as he worked for Starbucks that in Europe, many people didn't just drink the drink and leave, but places that served tea or coffee were places that people used to meet up. He also learned about things such as traditional espressos that he wanted served in the stores. Through Howard Shultz, these drinks were eventually brought over into many stores and now are a must at all stores alike.

Of course, it's not like Barbara is obligated to share every detail of her career with the world. Actually, at one point or another, she probably has. The only thing is, it's all a jumble - one piece here and other there. But maybe that is a good thing. For those motivated enough to piece together her story, there could be a prize at the end of the line. Besides, everyone knows (or should learn) that there is no magic formula for success. What works for someone may not work for another. There are a lot of things left to chance or fate or unique circumstances that helps or hinders people along their way.

Whatever your business goals may be, from human resources to New Media Marketing, DeJoria's story can inspire you, and remind you that with enough hard work, a good idea, and a willingness to push past rejection, you also can be successful.
