Next, expect a lot of physical labor. Considering that this job involves working with heavy equipment aspiring contractors should expect to keep their physical and mental health in peak condition. In addition, one can expect to work in various weather conditions that may not always be comfortable like extreme heat and cold.

Once individuals are certified millwrights, they may have the option to join a union and become a member. Compared to non unionized employees, members can expect a lot of advantages including enhanced training, the option to negotiate their salary and benefits, and the ability to assert their rights as valuable employees. If you decide to join, be prepared to meet specific qualifications set forth by the board.
