Top Seven Books Focusing On 911 And Beyond Narrative

At current times, the world has been subjected to a lot of events that have created a huge and influential impact on how society is today. These events can be separated into two categories, there are those that are considered positive in its effects, while some fall under the negative category. Despite some of these being negative in nature, one cannot ignore the fact that it has helped in the construction and further development of humankind today.

For instance, the events that transpired on September eleven at the World Trade Center that killed nearly three thousand people have made it a significant day to remember. The terrorists that launched those attacks will be remembered forever in a negative light, especially those who lost loved ones who were in that specific building at that time. Nevertheless, it has inspired a lot of movies and literature, including the following top books below, that focuses on 911 and Beyond Narrative.

One of those books that stand out from the rest is titled All We Have Left and was written by Wendy Mills. Wendy wrote a story that is considered safe for reading by young boys and girls. It details the experiences and thoughts of two young girls who were around during the time of happening, one who is white and the other is Muslim.

The Angola Deception however, is more for adults that for younger readers. It was written by D. C. Alden and is a piece of literature that falls under the thriller, action and adventure category. The story revolves around Frank Marshall, who is a former navy seal that is currently on the run because of his knowledge regarding the attackers of that specific date. While purely fiction, it is still considered a fun and thrilling read, especially for those who enjoy a fast paced thriller.

Alex Berenson worked for the popular newspaper publication the New York Times before writing his very own book that won him an Edgar Award. It was titled The Faithful Spy and was about its main character whose name is John Wells. While working as a secret agent for the Central Intelligence Agency he was sent to Afghanistan due to the war going on.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is most known as a popular blockbuster hit that aired in cinemas worldwide with a famous cast including Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock. However, the main character was a young boy named Oskar, who was suffering from depression, insomnia, and frequent anxiety attacks due to the death of his father, who was inside the building at that time. The book is written by Jonathan Safran Foer and was directed by Stephen Daldry on the big screen.

Saturday is written by Ian McEwan and was published twelve years ago in 2005. The titular character is Henry Perowne who is otherwise, an ordinary fellow who resides in London. The plot however, is based upon the events that transpired on February fifteen in the year 2003. While going about his day, he contemplates the protest happening within the city but is interrupted when violent and troublesome stranger bumps into him.

Amy Waldman is another author who also worked for the New York Times as a reporter for eight years. After what happened on that fateful September day, she went on to pen The Submission, which won her six awards within that year. The story was set ten years after the event and is a vision of the aftermath of everything that happened on that day, focusing on the main character named Claire Harwell.

To sum it all up, a lot of events have transpired in previous generations and civilizations that aided in shaping what the world has become today. While some of these are bad memories and occasions, humankind has certainly proven that they have the resilience to keep moving forward. The creation of works such as these, are proof of it all.
