Enhance The Flavor Of The Grilled Food With BBQ Basting Sauce

Spending lunch in the front yard during the weekend is a recreational activity that will result in beautiful moments that will surely be treasured by the family. While the family is sharing stories, and laughter waiting for the food to arrive, the person assigned on the grill is trying hard to not ruin the beautiful day with an overcooked meat on the grill. Thankfully, there are now many techniques, and with the help of bbq basting sauce that will surely moisten the meat, which will make the person assigned on the grill master it.

The cooking method called basting is used to keep the foods moist. Moisture is not the only contribution this method can give, it can also add flavor to the meal. With the food properly moist and flavorful, only good memories will be made.

The tool for the technique mentioned above is a basting mop. However, in every method, the mop is not always used. If the family is grilling with a wood burning pit, this tool is to be used, but first making sure that the meat is dried first before application of more amount of sauce. This tool shall be also used in charcoal grilling, but the application is only when the cook is adding charcoal or wood.

Another grilling method is through the usage of a water smoker. This cooker uses water to steam the meats, hence, the name, and since it uses vapor, basting the meats is not necessary since the vapor will moisten the food. The usage of a basting mop when cooks use wood ovens to grill is also not necessary, since the oven is tightly sealed and will retain an ample amount of moisture. Also, using electric grills in barbecuing should not require the chef to baste the meat.

There are a lot of grilling techniques the cook can choose from. One of the many is the direct heat grilling. It is the most basic and common among the many, the food is placed over the direct heat and searing it to seal flavors in it.

Another approach is smoking barbecue. Grill masters have named it the low and slow method. It is only ideal outdoors. The food is cooked in a low temperature slowly in a closed chamber, therefore requiring a lot of time. The person assigned on the barbecue should be early to rise so the family can have lunch at the proper time.

The rotisserie grilling is another method that is getting popular, nowadays. This is also referred to as spit roasting. The food is cooked inside the chamber by skewing the meat on a stick that is rotating.

Other than the improvement gained from applying basting sauce on the meat, using wood can also make the meal more flavorful. One can choose one from an array of woods, like Almond wood or Apple wood, and smoking woods like Hickory and Mesquite. The firewood will produce smoke that will bring aromatic flavors to the meat.

The job of the cook can be hard task without the knowledge of the many methods in grilling. However, when one is fluent on the art of barbecuing like knowing what woods to use, and especially knowing how to properly apply the suitable sauce for your palate, one can master the art. Forget about the stress during the weekend by digesting delectable dishes.
