Dry Cleaning Equipment Repair And Maintenance

By Zelma Hurley

Cleaning the laundry can be done in two different ways like dry cleaning or using the washing machine. In dry cleaning, water is not used but instead a chemical solvent called perchloroethylene which is commonly called as perc in the laundry industry. This is a process ideal for the most delicate garments because this is a gentler process compared to the rough washing machine laundry.

There are readily available commercial dry cleaning machines that anyone can buy for easy laundry labor. There are also services that install and maintain these machines. Dry cleaning equipment repair are available anywhere in the states including New Jersey. They have installation and repair professionals who have years of experience in the business.

The process starts by placing the clothes into the basket of the equipment. Then the solvent follows. The machine rotates which is how the cleaning is done. In this phase, the dirt and stains are removed. This is a not so rigorous rotation compared to the washing machine so it is safe for delicate fabrics.

After the rotation part, deodorizing occurs. This can be done through cooling and taking off all the solvent that remain in the fabrics. Then, pressing and folding the clothes is next. After which, they are once again ready to wear.

The process can protect your delicate garments from tearing or from getting damaged. The process is not as rough as that of the washing machine. Also, you will not get wet in the process because there is no water involved in dry cleaning, only the fabrics and the solvent.

Many people prefer this kind of laundry process because it is more convenient than using water. The equipment is slightly more expensive than washing machine, though. But it is all worth it because it will enable housewives more especially to get their chores done quickly.

You can opt to hand wash but it is very tiring. Some people get wounds and bruises when washing thick and rough clothes. Others are even allergic to detergent. So, the easiest way is to install a dry cleaner in the house. Invest on it and you will never be disappointed.

You can always wash your clothes using your hands but it takes a lot of time and it is not a guarantee that all the stains are removed. Depending on the kind of stain, you can ruin your hands if they are stuck too much on the fabric. In addition, fabric conditioners and detergent soaps can cause allergies to some so they really cannot do handwashing.

Just make sure that you take extra care of these machines. Clean them, unplug after every use, and check if there are problems with the wiring. If you detect that there is something wrong, immediately call your service provider for immediate repair.
