Of course, one can make the argument that telemarketers are generally avoided, which is true. Many view telemarketers as annoyances which, try as they might, cannot easily shake off of their backs. People can tell when these telemarketers call, whether due to caller ID or what have you, meaning that they are better off not answering the phone. Of course, there are those who do, which only seems to open them up further to the matter of telemarketing fraud.

If you were to consult a qui tam authority, in regards to telemarketing fraud, you will immediately be told to keep any other bits of personal information to yourself. After all, no one should get their hands on your Social Security number. In addition, you may be able to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, if you believe that your case is serious enough. Other solutions can be uncovered, though you may be wise to get in touch with other companies, Whistleblowers Against Fraud included, for this purpose.

To many, telemarketing can be a hindrance and nothing more. To others, it can prove to be one of the avenues that leads to fraud; this is easily a stronger problem that has to be addressed.
