You must not let your email take control of your life or disrupt your business. You could take control of it by scheduling the times for when you check and answer email. It is good practice to delete unimportant emails immediately as opposed to allowing them to accumulate in your inbox. It's also wise to answer straight away to any email that relates to your business.

In business, time is one of your best assets. If you fail to manage your time effectively, it directly impacts the success of your home-based business. Create segments in your workday and then deal with the activities that are most vital or most pressing. You shouldn't put off things that you dread dealing with, but get them out of the way immediately. This will likely relieve the subconscious feeling of unaccomplished tasks and will free your mind and spirit to follow creative endeavors that further your business targets.
